The problem is the card, not the card reader. Faster cards use more power. So if you want this to work you're going to have to go with a card that's isn't high speed.
Also this is my backup blog. See my main blog at http://terrywhite.com going forward.

Thanks Terry. I was so disappointed that my iPad could not import images from my Canon camera directly. I will now go out and get a card reader. Great review, same great quality as you PS tutorials.

Cheers markus

I've used this kit to connect a mic to my iPad as well.. I know off topic from the photo aspect, but it is a valuable add on that makes the iPad far more useable for musicians or anyone really looking to record CD quality audio with the device.

awesome review ... i'd like to see some image zooming, because when i import raws or jpegs from itunes, it "optimizes" the pictures and it lacks quality

Thanks Terry for following up on camera kit as promised.

Question- can you view images in a larger format directly from card before deciding to upload (as we can presently do in say Lightroom Import dialog) ? Or is it a thumbnail only ?

I think you see where I'm coming from. I would like to minimize loading up with undesirable first pass images. Suppose it's better than looking at images on the back of a camera. however I tend to shoot multiple Gs of images and would prefer to filter before taking up space on iPad.
